Caller identified himself as being from Spectrum. After inquiring about my satisfaction with service and billing, he offered me a special promotion of a $70/mo discount for 24 months effective with my next Spectrum bill. All he needed was a $109.99 "holding amount" to be paid now by credit card. After 3 months, he claimed it would be refunded as a credit on my Spectrum invoice. When I asked how to verify this is legit, he told me to call 571-500-8041 (which I looked up and it has a similar DirectTV scam associated with it). I am certain this is a scam. )
